Welcome, and thank you for taking an interest in my work! It means so much to have people attached to my stories. I feel compelled to write them because of my care for and understanding of my characters; readers like you allow their experiences and worlds to be known to more people. To further the connection to my readers, this website was made as a place to share information that never made it into my final drafts, short stories that aren't involved enough to be released as novels, art that my official artist may make, etc. Additionally, it's a hub to easily purchase all of my books directly from the source if you so wish. Regardless, I hope you enjoy perusing the site at your leisure.

Starspire

Long after the battle that cleaved a continent in half, Keondra finds herself busier than ever; but still not so busy that she can’t entertain her girlfriend’s curiosity about her past. Along with her other girlfriend, she recounts the tale of their meeting and everything that’s happened since then. Starting at the Academy, a specialized school for those with symptoms that matched her own, Keo found herself skeptical that such a place could truly help her. But dogged by her new roommate and one of the Academy’s star pupils, Sophie, Keo slowly warmed up to both—just in time for a new problem to arise. One that even the Mother Goddess could not solve. As icy hearts thaw in the cold of the Ural Mountains, adventures that span the realms begin to unfurl, taking our unlikely friends into places they’d never expect. What will you do when the stars come calling?

About the Author:

Hello, welcome to the About page! You may know me as Sara, which I prefer to use as a pen name and Nishi (she/her) as my personal name. I've been writing since I was a little girl hunched over my desk with a pencil and paper, and though I don't do this alone, these past few years I've endeavored to share these stories with everyone.Growing up, I—or at least one of us—loved reading, however, I always resented that the role women and girls would play in my favorite genre was always so... Restricted. My little lesbian heart wanted to see stories centered around women (preferably sapphic ones), stories where they were allowed to be as complex as the male characters. Eventually, one of my headmates proposed the idea that I could write about their memories our body doesn't have. Most if not all of them were women, and I knew them well, I was excited to get to know more about them in more detail. As I grew and learned, I also realized how much this society has stigmatized so many mental conditions, a couple of which I share. I decided my memory archival work would serve to combat that. All I want is to keep writing and share these worlds and their inhabitants with others, especially those who feel alone or have never seen themselves in a piece of media.

FAQ:

Will you ever write in other languages or translate your books to another language?
No, not really. I feel most comfortable with English, even if it may not be my native language. I have tried to translate my own stories into Spanish before, but I hated the way small details were lost in translation, and the way most of the terminology sounded horrendous when translated. Although it's not entirely off the table for the future if anyone would be able to create a translation I can be happy with, the answer to both questions is no.

Is Fildegard the only universe you write for?
I can see how you might think that. However, the truth is that it only seems to be the case because the published books so far have almost all been part of the Fildegard universe. Tale of the Godless, Bloodlines of Fildegard, and Starspire all take place in Fildegard, but Eclipse of the Fair Folk, for instance, is part of a different universe altogether. Additionally, I don't plan on adding any more books to the Fildegard universe after my current drafts are published. Not all universes will get five books, either, as the Xylaverse is only planned to have two.
Short stories and lore articles are another thing entirely and will likely continue according to fan demand and our own whims.

Do you have a release schedule?
For my major projects (the novels), I try to publish one per year, especially when I have a backlog, and it tends to happen near the end of the year. Short stories, no promises. And as for art, that's up to my official artist.

What are your upcoming projects?
At the time of writing, I'm working on a massive revision to Starspire. Starspire, while technically finished, is a delicate work and tells the story of Keondra's youth in the form of an unconventional dark romance/fantasy. If you know that name, you most likely know that I wrote it by popular demand.
After Starspire, we're moving on from Fildegard and publishing the first book in the Xylaverse, which is planned to have a second book and some short stories. I'm honestly most excited for what comes after the Xylaverse, which is the Ichor Project. Good old (probably high) fantasy. That one is planned to have two books as well. We'll see how things go.

Are there any big consistencies or things that could jump out to readers who want to go through your whole bibliography?
I'd say large casts, the fantasy genre, and very few men, if any. I do have to say that readers should expect significant writing quality improvements between Fildegard and the Xylaverse, and smaller quality improvements between each book. They are the reason why I can't describe my writing style that accurately. I practice constantly, therefore my skills are always growing. Readers have also told me that it's usually hard to predict what will happen in each book.

What is your stance on fanworks?
We welcome them! Feel free to create them under the same legal rules as usual for any fandom. (If using AO3, find the existing fandom tags under my author name). However, we disavow any fan content that is bigoted in nature, such as making a queer character no longer queer, or needlessly "fixing"/removing a character's disability, physical and otherwise.

Reader’s Guide:

This entry will cover some basic information about each of my works and series. It'll be updated as new information is released to the public. I publish my work chronologically, and the dates next to each book are from the year the book was written, rather than the year it was published. Works taking place in the same universe are grouped as such.

I'll preface this with a general warning that multiple of my books sometimes feature incestuous relationships, but if they do not appear on this list, it means they are not abusive. This is also your disclaimer that these are works of fiction and I am a fantasy writer. I do not condone sexual assault, abuse of any kind, murder, genocide, or any other topic of the sort that may appear in these books.Note, if a warning specifies "Depiction" it means that it's explicitly described in the book in at least one scene. If a warning merely says "Implied/Referenced" it means it's not explicitly described. If something seemingly innocuous (such as sexual content) is on the list, it means it features heavily in the book.Specific content warnings for the relevant books will be listed here before release:
Fildegard Archive
Tale of the Godless
Implied/Referenced Abusive Romantic/Sexual Relationship (particularly in the third book).
Bloodlines of Fildegard
Graphic Depictions of Violence, Implied/Referenced Sexual Content, Dubious Consent.
Starspire
Incest, Graphic Depictions of Violence, Implied/Referenced Sexual Content, Implied/Referenced Self-Harm, Implied/Referenced Substance Abuse, Implied/Referenced Cannibalism.

After a great cataclysm shook the foundations of modern society and caused it to crumble, the survivors scrambled to rebuild it.Seven thousand years later, Alice stirs in her hospital bed, with little to no memory of her past. The tale begins here, where the gears of time start to turn. The clock is ticking, and although Alice is none the wiser, she will be the key to cut the strings of fate and end this broken, endless waltz.
---------------------------
Alice is a young teen living in what are simply known as "the Facilities", located in the center of Europe. But when a so-called work incident makes her lose her memory, she suddenly starts to question the values of her society, wondering if the Facilities really are the only safe place on Earth. The pills doctors gave her, the evidence of a missing older sister that nobody seems to be looking for, a job they told her she used to have, on top of latent fire magic she isn't supposed to possess... Alice must unravel the truth about her life and confront the supreme leader of the Facilities if she wants to follow the leads and find her sister.

The sands of time know not of oblivion; a connection forged under the desert sun is not so easily forgotten. It's been two years, and Alice thinks she should be allowed to attend international negotiations with Victoria. What could possibly go wrong?Turns out the Empire of Zerzura is starkly different to her home country. However, Alice's frown over not being let into the meeting room soon turns upside down when she meets a certain haunting beauty; the catalyst of incoming doom amid desert dunes.

"May those who accept their fate be granted happiness, and may those who defy their fate be granted glory."Delilah wasn't one to resist arrest. She never had been. After the first few times, one would rather just let it happen. She knew this would happen, anyway. All she has to do is wait now.
Catherine Cramoisi, as per usual, has a lot on her plate. The latest addition just so happens to be named Alice. Catherine, as a matron to the Children of Ignis, has raised countless kids and teens. However, any problem children she's had to deal with before did not have a tendency to start wars on a whim or out of boredom.

Despite being the third princess of the Merdragon Kingdom, Darc's childhood was rather simple: homeschooling, therapy, and spending time with her family. However, the relative comfort and privilege in her life was tainted by the struggles brought on by her personality disorder and so-called "star-blessed" birth. After years of struggle, with the support of her family and the church, she feels confident enough to move out at age 23 and enroll in the most prestigious magic university in the Seven Realms of Fildegard, located near the mountains in the neighboring global superpower. She's excited (and anxious) to make a new start for herself, but her life proves to be consistently disastrous when she almost immediately falls in love at first sight with the heir to the throne and incidentally ends up on his sister's bed instead. His younger sister, High Priestess of the Church of Welkin, who is engaged to the son of a goddess. Now torn between two problematic crushes who outwardly despise one another, Darc will be forced to face everything from unresolved anger issues and an overly mysterious past on her crushes' parts, to a terrorist plot from their biggest enemy and relative attempting to usurp the crown and destroy the church. Nothing is ever simple when you fall in love with royalty.

Fildegard

(Fĭl-dē-gärd)A universe of seven realms, all joined by the flow of the Cycle of Magic. Several thousand years ago, the mortal realm, Flauvrane, faced a cataclysmic event referred to as the Unearthing. This event significantly hampered the growth of humans of this universe, resulting in them evolving differently based on their area of origin. The following period, referred to the Age of Restoration, began as the remnant of the previous god was slain and a new Parent God took the helm (Do not cross her at any cost, she is not to be trifled with.) But the insidious Core of Magic still exists and we are certain the locals will have to confront their reality soon.

Fildegard Archive

The books all taking place in the Fildegard universe are collectively referred to as the Fildegard Archive. The Fildegard Archive houses two sets of books: Tale of the Godless Trilogy and Bloodlines Duology.

Xylaverse

(Zī-lä-vûrs)A technologically advanced universe where all major civilizations have reached the space age. Long ago, humanity went extinct by the hands of elvenkind, but only after a long and brutal war that took out several of their allied species alongside them. Humans, with their terror-inducing power, left a scar on all who took part in the war, and to this day, the very utterance of the word 'human' makes any elf freeze.
At some point, an international curtain of spaceships settled into formation to cut off a significant portion of the universe. This was dubbed the Steel Wall. However, despite its importance and the high cost of maintenance, no one knows what its purpose truly is, or what lies on the other side of it.

Project Ichor

(īKH-ōr)One of the best examples of senseless war we have ever witnessed. This universe is consumed in a never-ending conflict between the two halves of its only supercontinent, polarized and pushed to the extremes of hatred by the belief that the other committed the most grievous sin. Shards of the original deities rule these lands and nurture them for both the pure-blooded and the impure humans who bleed gold.If they do not learn to work together, this behavior will eventually lead to the destruction of both sides.

Reviews:

Curious what people are saying about the Fildegard books? Then check out some of our reviews!

Tale of the Godless Trilogy

  • What I really have to praise about this book, though, is the diversity and amazing representation. more

  • In fantasy land, this book's a fun fresh start that mixes cool world details with a story that hooks you quick and turns Act 3 into a total page-turner. more

  • Another aspect of these stories that I really enjoy is the deviation from conventionality, as the story is taken in directions that I have rarely, if at all, seen in other media. more

  • What seals it for me is how this thing zigzags into wild, "wait, I've never seen that before in a fantasy book" territory, but it all lands feeling real despite the fantasy element. more

  • The way the book handles messy characters is everything. more

Bloodlines Duology

  • In short, Bloodlines is a fun, crunchy read with heart, humor, and epic moments. I’m already hyped for the next book to see where these characters go! more

  • Overall, this book is a dark fantasy that balances romance, action, and mystery without ever feeling generic. The world feels lived-in, the characters are messy and loveable, and the relationships (romantic, familial, and platonic) are all fascinating and have you yearning for more. more
